Managing IBD requires a deep understanding of the disease and its impact on the patient, physically and emotionally. Our IBD specialists are skilled in treating every aspect of the disease.
IBD Conditions We Treat
The two most common inflammatory bowel diseases are Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
Crohn's disease involves inflammation of any part of the gastrointestinal tract, from mouth to anus, though it most commonly affects the small intestine, colon, or both. Ulcerative colitis is limited to the colon, or large intestine.
IBD symptoms can be mild or severe and include diarrhea, pain, rectal bleeding, fatigue, and weight loss. This multi-system disease can lead to arthritis, liver disease, psoriasis, ophthalmic disease, and the complications of nutritional deficiency.
