Colorectal Surgery

Our Colorectal Surgery Program is committed to providing exceptional and compassionate care for patients suffering from diseases of the colon, rectum, and anus. With our same-day or next-day appointment policy, patients with acute pain or who are newly diagnosed with cancer can be seen immediately.

Each patient’s case is reviewed by a team of surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists to ensure the best possible outcome.

Colorectal Surgery Services We Provide

Using state-of-the-art technology, our surgeons perform less invasive procedures whenever possible. We routinely use laparoscopy, robotics, trans-anal endoscopic microsurgery (TEMS), and muscle-sparing fissure surgery. As a result, over 80 percent of abdominal operations are performed using minimally invasive techniques. Our highly experienced surgeons are often uniquely able to maintain or restore continence when other centers cannot.

Because patients are at risk for wound infections after colorectal surgery, we have developed a multidisciplinary team approach to reduce the infection rate. In addition, we manage pain with a multimodal approach that combines non-opioid medications and relies as little as possible on narcotics.
