Parkinson Positivos: Real Stories, Practical Support
Make an Appointment
Our team is here to help you make an appointment with the specialists that you need.
Parkinson Positivos is a Spanish-language book that shares real conversations with people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and the healthcare professionals who support them. The stories are paired with illustrations and educational content to offer clear, accessible information alongside personal experience.
The aim is to support Spanish-speaking communities by increasing understanding, breaking down stigma, and making sure people affected by Parkinson’s feel seen and informed. It’s a resource for patients, caregivers, and anyone looking to better understand the day-to-day realities of living with this condition.
This project was led by Dr. Hiral Shah, neurologist and movement disorder specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, in collaboration with the American Parkinson Disease Association and the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson’s.
