Homemade Pocket Pita Pizzas
Here's a healthy take on a Super Bowl classic.
Pita Pizzas
Ingredients:
- 2 bags whole wheat pitas, either mini- or regular-sized
- 1 jar tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
- Dash of oregano
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. On a sheet pan, cut open pitas and lightly bake to ensure crispness.
3. Take out of the oven and add the tomato sauce and cheese on top.
3. Bake until the cheese melts to a golden brown, then remove and lightly sprinkle oregano on top.
4. Serve warm with lots of napkins.
