Allergy

At ColumbiaDoctors, we offer specialized care for adult patients with allergies, helping them to manage their symptoms and avoid life-threatening reactions. Our allergists have a deep understanding of the causes, triggers, and different types of allergies and use proven methods driven by the latest science to control allergies.

As a leading research center in allergy and immunology, we bring the most current insights to patient care, using state-of-the-art measures to help diagnose and treat allergic disorders. We work with patients to educate them about avoiding flare-ups and managing their symptoms. We partner with patients to develop an individualized care plan to manage their allergies and live their lives.

Patient Care

ColumbiaDoctors allergists deliver comprehensive care, providing initial diagnoses, second opinions, and allergic and immunologic testing. Every patient receives a complete initial evaluation that includes taking a thorough patient history and reviewing previous records and test results. A complete allergy-centered physical examination is conducted at the first in office visit and physical exam indicators of allergic conditions are subsequently followed for improvement.

A Multidisciplinary Team Approach

Our team consists of board-certified and highly trained specialists with a wide variety of clinical backgrounds and areas of focus. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to coordinate care with other specialists across Columbia, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive, expert care.

Unmatched Expertise

Our clinicians are nationally recognized clinical experts in allergic diseases and faculty members at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians & Surgeons. New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is a top-ranked hospital that serves as a regional referral site for other centers.
