Pediatric Palliative Care
Palliative Care
The pediatric palliative care team at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital helps to support children and their families as they navigate serious or complicated medical conditions. Our team, with specialized training in palliative medicine, collaborates with the primary medical providers to ease pain and other burdensome symptoms at any point in the course of your child’s condition. Our specialists also help to facilitate communication and decision making to ensure that your values, beliefs, and preferences are heard and respected in the care of your child. We work closely with child life specialists, pastoral care, art and music therapists, and others to tend to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological qualities that make your child and family unique. It is our goal to provide compassionate, comprehensive care, and to preserve the dignity and quality of life of your child and family.
