General Pediatrics Primary Care
Our general pediatric practices provide comprehensive, high-quality, and integrated medical care to promote the healthy development and wellbeing of patients from birth through age 20. Preventive care and health supervision includes immunizations, screenings for important health issues, and services to keep your child healthy. We provide sick and urgent, problem-focused care for our patients. Our teams of skilled and compassionate board-certified pediatricians also provide support and advocacy for patients’ families to ensure children have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a healthy environment. We also have active training programs to ensure that future pediatricians are trained to provide holistic care, and we conduct clinical research focused on improving health outcomes and population health.
We also provide expertise and resources to care for children with special health care needs, chronic illness, and complex medical needs. Multidisciplinary teams provide co-located services at various practice sites, including social work and mental health providers, community health navigators, and a number of pediatric medical subspecialists and dentistry.
ColumbiaDoctors practice sites include primary care practices on the Upper West Side and Midtown Manhattan. In addition, at our four hospital-based practices in northern Manhattan in partnership with the Ambulatory Care Network of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center, we provide care for children in the local community with a focus on high-risk populations, including those affected by poverty, domestic violence, or other environmental and toxic stressors.
